About EZ Safety Rail

OUR STORY

EZ Safety Rail Company is headquartered in Olympia WA. The safety rail design has been developed over the years by Kelly Hargett. Kelly has been in the steel industry since 1985. Kelly is always looking for a way to improve methods used in the construction industry. This design mitigates some of the downfalls to the industry standard guardrails used.

Traditional cable rail used on slab on metal deck has a few negatives that workers must deal with.

1. Long lengths of cable are unruly to handle.

2. Getting the cables pulled tight enough so the cable doesn’t sag too much puts a strain on the connection points. Corner posts want to bend in.

3. When the perimeter walls are being built the cable must be loosened and reattached several times as the walls are built along the edge. The same concerns with the cable being tight enough exist while the cable is reattached.

4. Most of the cables are disposed of after the rails are removed.

Wood rail systems don’t have the engineered controls that EZ Safety Rail has. Waste materials are common with wood rails.

EZ Safety Rail has stamped Engineered drawings. Patent has been applied for.

The rails have been designed to attach the components together with pins. No threads to get damaged.

The rails don’t have any appendages, Stacking the pieces for handling and transporting in racks simplifies the process.
